By October 15, 2020September 29th, 2022Democracy

The General Election is on Tuesday, November 3, 2020

Visit the Secretary of State’s Voter Portal to find information on voter registration, county clerk offices, absentee and early voting, and polling location. This information is also available at your County Clerk’s office.

Voter registration

In New Mexico, you can still register at the county clerk and vote Same-Day through October 31. You can find county clerk information here.

Early and absentee voting

Many people are rightly nervous about voting in person because of Covid-19 and there is also concern about ballots reaching county clerks in time because of rumors about mailing delays with the U.S. Postal Service. The best way to manage these concerns is to vote early by absentee ballot.

Visit the Secretary of State’s Voter Portal for information on Early and Absentee Voting. The website has information on filling an online absentee ballot or downloading a ballot and returning it to your county clerk, as well as how to contact your county clerk for information.

Accessible Absentee Ballots are available or the first time, making it possible for those with visual impairments to complete an absentee ballot.
